Karaikudi Book Festival

Vanakkam. As you are kindly aware, Karaikudi Book Festival Committee is organizing State-Level Book Festival every year at Kamban Mani mandapam, Karaikudi. The Tenth Book Festival is to be held from friday 10th February to sunday 19th February 2012 at the same venue. Every year more than 50,000 persons visit the festival and buy useful books at reduced prices. All the academic institutions in the district take part in the Festival.

Karaikudi Book Festival: Karaikudi Book Festival is conducted every year during January or February in Kamban Mani mandapam, Karaikudi. It is organised by the Karaikudi Book Festival Committee. The aim of the Festival is to make people read more books than spending their time on watching television. During the Book Festival, we are organizing various competitions for the students of schools and colleges to bring out their latent talents. In addition to the prizes distributed, all participants are given a valuable book. Quiz programs are conducted for the public and books are distributed to the winners. Last year, we had the privilege of distributing books worth more than Rs.50,000/-. Further, in the evenings, we arrange for literary meetings, releasing books and cultural programs by students so as to encourage their histrionic talents.
